Job description
As a Front-End RTL Infrastructure - CAD Engineer, you will be part of the Silicon Technologies group at Apple, focusing on developing and supporting reliable infrastructure for design and verification teams. Your role will involve enhancing the RTL gatekeeping infrastructure and contributing to soft IP development methodologies. You will also drive innovation by building generative AI solutions to improve engineering productivity. This position requires collaboration with a motivated CAD team to ensure high-quality infrastructure that supports Apple's chip design efforts.
Requirements
- Minimum of a BS degree in a relevant field.
- Expertise in programming in Python or Perl.
- Knowledge in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience with Front-End EDA tools such as Clock Domain Crossing, Reset Domain Crossing, or Lint.
- Understanding of Front-End RTL Build or Construction flows.
- Excellent communication, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.
- Customer-oriented mindset and support experience.
- Experience in contributing to large-scale software system development from specification to deployment.
- MSEE/CE/CS preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support RTL gatekeeping infrastructure for design and verification collateral.
- Contribute to Perforce administration to ensure version control integrity and performance.
- Maintain a centralized configuration management system for Front-End flows.
- Drive innovation by building generative AI solutions across systems.
- Manage and update internal training materials and coordinate vendor trainings for engineers.
- Promote and drive robust, scalable infrastructure solutions across RTL Design and DV teams.
