Job description
The Front-End RTL Infrastructure - CAD Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and supporting the infrastructure used by design and verification teams at Apple. This position focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of RTL gatekeeping infrastructure and version control systems. The engineer will also drive innovation by integrating generative AI solutions to enhance engineering productivity. Working within a motivated CAD team, the engineer will contribute to the creation and maintenance of high-quality infrastructure that supports Apple's chip design efforts.
Requirements
- Minimum of a BS degree in a relevant field.
- Expertise in programming in Python or Perl.
- Knowledge of Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Experience with Front-End EDA tools such as Clock Domain Crossing, Reset Domain Crossing, or Lint.
- Understanding of Front-End RTL Build or Construction flows.
- Excellent communication, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.
- Customer-oriented mindset and support experience.
- Experience in contributing to large-scale software system development from specification to deployment.
- MSEE/CE/CS preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support a reliable infrastructure for design and verification teams.
- Support RTL gatekeeping infrastructure and soft IP development methodologies.
- Contribute to Perforce administration to ensure version control integrity.
- Maintain a centralized configuration management system for Front-End flows.
- Drive innovation by building generative AI solutions to improve infrastructure reliability.
- Manage and update internal training materials and coordinate vendor trainings.
