Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a Circuit Design Engineer for Standard Cell Characterization to work on cutting-edge processor design in deep submicron technologies. The role involves standard cell library design and characterization, focusing on transistor-level circuit design and performance analysis. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve library quality checks and support tool development using Perl and Python. This position is ideal for recent graduates with a strong background in electrical or computer engineering.
Requirements
- Recently graduated with a MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
- Background in deep submicron process issues
- Understanding of the design, verification, and characterization of standard cell libraries
- Familiarity with Liberty models and their application to digital implementation and signoff flows
- Experience running SPICE simulation and adaptability to new simulation tools
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, and Make
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to learn quickly and be results-oriented
- Past standard cell library or IP characterization experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Work on processor design in deep submicron technologies and standard cell library design and characterization
- Drive the concepts of transistor-level circuit design, modeling, and performance analysis
- Support and develop tools using Perl and Python
- Provide creative insights to support existing tools and flows
- Develop new simulations to perform timing, power, noise, and OCV evaluations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams regarding library issues
- Improve quality checks on library work
