As a fullstack engineer on the foundry team at DoorDash Labs, you will be responsible for building and maintaining web applications from end-to-end, utilizing a React and Node.js tech stack. Your work will involve both internal tools and external merchant-facing products, focusing on scalable solutions that maximize business impact. You will collaborate with engineers across the stack and contribute to the architecture and tech stack of new product areas. This role offers the opportunity to prototype applications and engage with adjacent disciplines like data analysis.

• B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 6+ years of industry experience.
• Understanding of modern web stacks and architecture including HTTP, REST, and gRPC.
• Strong foundations in vanilla JS, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Deep understanding of REST principles and designing and building backend APIs.
• Experience designing and architecting web solutions while working cross-team with product and design.
• Experience with React/Redux or similar frameworks.
• Experience working with Express and Node.js servers.
• Experience with relational databases including schema design and query optimization, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Experience with documentation, unit, and integration testing.

• Quickly prototype and develop internal web applications to support new product use cases.
• Write robust, highly tested, and well-crafted code.
• Develop and define the architecture and tech stack across the frontend and backend for new product areas.
• Design, build, and operate backend services and APIs that power both internal tools and merchant-facing products.
• Brainstorm and devise innovative solutions to enable scaling operations at various stages.
• Contribute to adjacent disciplines such as data analysis when possible.
