The Vice President of Software Engineering at Goldman Sachs will be responsible for developing and maintaining the firm's software solutions to support global business operations. This role involves designing high-quality technology solutions and working through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Four years of experience in the job offered or a related role.
• Experience with C++ or Java.
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support.
• Experience building multi-threaded and multi-process service-oriented enterprise applications within a Unix environment.
• Familiarity with relational database management systems such as Sybase or Oracle.
• Experience in micro-services architecture design and development including REST, Spring, or other back-end technologies.
• Proficiency in database query languages, including SQL or NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB.
