The Principal Research Scientist in Analytical Development at Elanco will support the Technical Development organization, focusing on analytical development activities for animal health products. This role emphasizes expertise in dissolution control strategy and synthetic molecule analytical development. The position involves collaboration with technical development teams to support drug development and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The scientist will also mentor emerging talent and drive the implementation of new technologies in the field.

• PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical development.
• Strong expertise in chromatographic and spectroscopic method development.
• Extensive knowledge of current quality and regulatory requirements for new drug products.
• Demonstrated track record of interacting with regulatory agencies on analytical topics.

• Develop and deliver relevant analytical and dissolution methods and specifications.
• Interpret results, evaluate data, and draw relevant conclusions.
• Report and present scientific results internally and create external publications.
• Write or support the generation of international registration documents.
• Partner with manufacturing and regulatory representatives to drive drug product commercialization activities.
• Drive the evaluation and implementation of new technologies in dissolution and analytical development.
• Mentor and coach emerging technical talent within the function.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal guidelines and quality standards.
