As an Amazon Robotics Solutions Design Engineer, you will collaborate with talented engineers to design and develop robotic fulfillment systems globally. The role focuses on creating high-performance physical systems and requires strong problem-solving and project management skills. You will work on end-to-end robotic sortation solutions, partnering with various teams to ensure safe and scalable designs. The team is dedicated to maintaining high-performing package sortation solutions and innovating to meet growing customer demands.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
- Experience using business/technical software like MS Excel, Revit, AutoCAD, and simulation software like FlexSim.
- Demonstrated use of analytical skills to solve complex engineering problems.
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment and packaging technologies.
- Experience with process design based on Lean Principles.
- Ability to travel 10% globally to interact with internal and external business and technical leaders.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and create physical processing and material storage solutions using innovative technology and robotics.
- Identify and analyze key operational and financial metrics for program and feature selection.
- Coordinate and collaborate with systems and operations engineering teams to develop product features.
- Manage and support multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while effectively communicating with stakeholders.
- Develop models as required to solve complex problems.
