Job description

This position is for a Software Engineer on the AWS Neuron SDK team, focusing on developing software for AWS's machine learning accelerators. The role requires a deep understanding of Linux and device drivers, as well as experience with hardware-based accelerator platforms. The engineer will work on defining key interfaces and developing the runtime stack and driver for the accelerator. This fast-paced role involves collaboration with thought-leaders and a commitment to improving product performance and quality.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and testing
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience in computer architecture
  • Experience writing low level drivers

Responsibilities

  • Define key interfaces for the software that interacts with hardware accelerators
  • Develop the runtime stack and driver that manages the accelerator
  • Work in pre-silicon environments to enhance Runtime Software Stack readiness
  • Create validation content to check out hardware and silicon features
  • Collaborate with team members to improve product performance and quality
