This role is focused on the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure, specifically within the Worldwide Sustainability organization. The team is composed of diverse engineers and specialists who work collaboratively to ensure safety, security, and sustainability in data center operations. Candidates will engage in innovative projects that impact millions of customers while fostering an inclusive culture that values creativity and continuous learning. The position emphasizes the importance of producing clear documentation and developing strategic solutions for electrical designs.

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.)
• Detailed understanding of uninterruptable power sources, diesel generators, electrical switchgear, power distribution units, variable frequency drives, and automatic/static transfer switches

• Produce clear and concise documentation such as detailed design specifications, drawings, and reports
• Understand and safeguard implementation of the Global Electrical Basis of Design by driving standardization in data center electrical designs
• Develop strategic solutions that meet or exceed quality requirements and fall within budgetary constraints
• Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests during innovation and research projects
• Work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify appropriate electrical equipment
• Manage concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions
