Job description

The Data Center Manufacturing Test Engineer role at Google involves developing and sustaining manufacturing test processes for products deployed in Google Data Centers. This position is part of a team that focuses on creating custom silicon solutions and enhancing the efficiency of manufacturing operations. The engineer will collaborate with various teams, including New Product Introduction and Quality Engineers, to ensure seamless integration and functionality of Google's infrastructure. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and innovation in hardware experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience with test engineering.
  • Experience developing and integrating manufacturing test hardware using custom electronics.
  • Experience coding in Python, Bash, and Shell scripting for test plans.
  • Experience working with L11 and L12 integration and testing of server, storage, and networking products.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, optimize, and deploy L12 test platforms for Google compute/storage/ML servers.
  • Partner with the NPI team to define design for test requirements.
  • Provide Manufacturing Test Engineering support for new and existing products.
  • Drive initiatives to improve test process efficiencies and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with internal and partner engineers to enhance test efficiency and effectiveness.
