Job description

As a Project Task Manager 1 or Staff Scientist at Arcadis, you will work within a collaborative team focused on environmental consulting and remediation projects. You will engage in various phases of site evaluation and remediation, contributing to project management and technical reporting. The position offers a mix of office-based tasks and site visits, emphasizing health and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • 4–8 years of experience in the environmental industry
  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field
  • Previous experience with environmental sampling, technical report writing, and data evaluation
  • Strong focus on health and safety, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Preferred qualifications include familiarity with California State regulations and 40-hour HAZWOPER certification

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures for you and your project team
  • Communicate effectively with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders under the supervision of the Project Manager
  • Support the development of conceptual site models and contamination delineation
  • Write and review technical reports
  • Help organize work schedules with Arcadis staff and subcontractors
  • Produce cost estimates, forecast project spend, review client invoices, and track key performance indices under the supervision of the Project Manager
