Requirements

  • A Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of work experience in the job offered or a related wastewater process engineering occupation.
  • Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field and 4 years of work experience in the job offered or a related wastewater process engineering occupation.
  • Expertise in construction plans, design specifications, and standards for municipal wastewater treatment plants.
  • Proficiency in wastewater treatment plant design and operation, as well as wastewater process modeling software such as SUMO and Pro2D.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of water and wastewater design projects.
  • Independently prepare engineering specifications, data management spreadsheets, maps, drawings, and perform calculations in support of engineering activities.
  • Conduct site visits and field observations to gather data for engineering condition assessments and evaluations.
  • Lead project presentations for internal and external meetings.
  • Evaluate and improve the selection and modification of standard techniques and procedures to efficiently meet project goals.
