Job description

The Highway Engineering Professional role at Jacobs focuses on planning, budgeting, and delivering traffic engineering projects. Requirements

  • A Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field and 2 years of work experience in Transportation Engineering, or a Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience.
  • Expertise in Department of Transportation (DOT) and Local Public Agency (LPA) project experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Open Roads Designer (ORD) for engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in planning and delivering traffic engineering projects.
  • Prepare design elements and plans for highway and roadway civil design.
  • Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians.
  • Lead plan sheet production and project estimates for roadway preservation and roundabout development projects.
  • Design ADA-compliant pedestrian facilities.
