Job description

The Quality Engineer role at Apple focuses on ensuring high quality and reliability in products and technologies. This position requires a blend of technical and leadership skills to engage early in development and enable new technologies across Apple products. Quality Engineers drive quality improvement actions and develop plans to validate new product quality at each development milestone. They also work with capable suppliers to maintain high execution levels in mass production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science or Industrial Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical domain, high volume manufacturing, or development of consumer electronics or components
  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science or Industrial Engineering or equivalent is preferred
  • Strong statistical and data analytics skills, including statistical process control and sampling methods

Responsibilities

  • Drive quality improvement actions on future products
  • Enable mass production capable manufacturing processes
  • Develop plans to validate and verify new product quality at each development landmark
  • Approach problems using engineering methods and make data-driven decisions
  • Engage with suppliers to ensure high-level execution on an ongoing basis
