The Data Center Security Systems Engineer will join the AWS Infrastructure Security team, focusing on the design, engineering, and integration of complex physical security systems for AWS data centers. This role involves collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective deployment and support of security products. The engineer will contribute to the full lifecycle of security solutions, driving standardization and innovation within the team. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to enhance the security infrastructure at AWS scale.

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers or power generation.
• 4+ years of commissioning experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
• Professional Engineer License.
• Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.
• Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.

• Design and engineer physical security systems for AWS data centers, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
• Develop technical specifications, product requirements, and build plans for security system implementations.
• Evaluate and recommend solutions that balance security effectiveness, cost, scalability, and operational complexity.
• Drive complex system integration projects across internal teams and external partners.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across AWS organizations to integrate security requirements into designs and standards.
• Contribute to the standardization of security system designs across the global data center portfolio.
• Develop automation solutions that improve the efficiency and reliability of security system deployment, configuration, and management.
• Create technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and training materials that enable field operations teams to support products throughout the full lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with internal security standards, policies, and organizational requirements.
