This role involves leading the design and development of accelerated servers for AWS, focusing on high performance and scalability in AI/ML workloads. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and specialists to deliver innovative cloud offerings. The position requires interfacing with customers to understand their technical needs and overseeing the quality of the server fleet post-launch. The team is dedicated to delivering the best possible solutions for customers while fostering an inclusive culture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of professional work experience in hardware design and validation.
- Experience in server technologies including board design, high-speed bus design, and signal integrity.
- Knowledge of operating systems, hardware, storage, network, security, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience developing and executing test procedures for mechanical or electrical systems/components.
- Experience working with ODMs/manufacturers through the product development and manufacturing lifecycle.
- Familiarity with PCIe topology, NVLink, NVMe, and accelerator interconnects.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the design and development of a new segment of accelerated servers.
- Work closely with customers to understand their technical needs and business goals.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to architect scalable solutions.
- Oversee the fleet of servers post-launch, monitoring quality and customer requirements.
- Interface with internal and external customers to facilitate system development.
- Develop improved systems for future designs based on operational challenges.
