The Fleet Performance Optimization (FPO) organization at Amazon Robotics focuses on building intelligent systems for robot manipulation workcells. As a Software Development Engineer (SDE), you will design, build, and operate distributed systems that integrate robotics, machine learning, and large-scale data processing. You will collaborate with scientists and engineering teams to translate research into reliable production systems that enhance fulfillment efficiency. • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals
• Knowledge of batch and streaming data architectures like Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, Storm, or Beam
• Experience working in robotics or computer vision

• Design and build high-throughput, event-based scoring services for real-time inventory signals
