Job description

The Software Engineer position in the Query Processing team at Amazon Analytics focuses on building systems that enhance the experience for Analytics customers globally. This role involves significant ownership of product vision, defining new features, and converting complex requirements into valuable projects. The engineer will lead substantial projects, mentor team members, and contribute to a collaborative environment. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • 2+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#
  • 2+ years of experience with big data technologies such as AWS, Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive, Lucene/SOLR or Storm/Samza
