NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to enhance its HPC infrastructure, focusing on building and operating sophisticated systems for business-critical services and AI applications. The role involves working with a team of skilled engineers dedicated to improving tools for infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have strong software development skills and experience in creating reliable distributed systems. • Strong coding skills in at least two of Go, Java, C/C++, Scala, Python, or Elixir, with a focus on backend, systems, or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep understanding of scalability, consistency, and performance trade-offs in server-side systems.
• Experience owning services end-to-end, including architecture, implementation, testing, and observability.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Proficiency with modern CI/CD, GitOps workflows, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of relevant experience.

• Apply modern distributed systems patterns to enhance scale, latency, and reliability.
• Continuously improve infrastructure provisioning and operations using automation and APIs.
• Operate in a globally distributed, hybrid multi-cloud environment, building cloud-native systems.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships and collaborate with various business units.
• Improve uptime and Quality of Service (QoS) through data-driven operations and robust incident practices.
• Participate in the team’s on-call rotation and lead high-impact incident response when necessary.
