NVIDIA is seeking a Hardware Customer Quality Engineer to support customer quality assurance activities in Santa Clara, California. This individual contributor role focuses on establishing relationships with customers, collaborating on problem resolutions, and representing the voice of the customer to internal teams. The engineer will participate in quality meetings, track metrics, and coordinate audits while driving continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction. The position requires strong technical comprehension and excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in electrical engineering, quality, or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in an electronics customer quality role.
- Customer interface experience is critical.
- Excellent proficiency with 8D problem solving tools and methods.
- Strong leadership skills with experience coordinating teams across multiple disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Participate and lead conference calls and face-to-face meetings with customers related to quality.
- Track customer quality metrics and report regularly to customers and internal management.
- Coordinate and participate in customer audits for NVIDIA HQ and contract manufacturers.
- Quickly assimilate technical details in crisis situations to understand critical issues and provide direction.
- Interface with customers, integrators, and partners onsite to support problem solving and issue resolution.
- Craft customer presentations covering statuses of root cause, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
- Work cross-functionally among internal organizations to assess product risk and drive problem solving.
