Job description
Apple Music's Lyrics Operations team is seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee the delivery of Machine Learning and Tooling initiatives. This role involves managing workflows and systems that enhance the lyrics experience for Apple Music subscribers globally. The Program Manager will work closely with Engineering, Operations, and international teams to ensure efficient collaboration across a complex network. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music and a strong understanding of Apple's design principles.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager or AIML Program Manager in the music/media industry
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from inception to delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to different audiences
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
- Experience working in technical environments alongside engineering and data teams
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
- Willingness to work onsite and available for some nights and weekends
- Up to 5% travel required, both domestic and international
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of Machine Learning and Tooling initiatives across a global organization
- Manage complex and ambiguous projects, defining scope and driving alignment
- Serve as the global DRI for initiatives involving international teams and regional operations
- Synthesize complex information into clear functional and technical specifications
- Identify process gaps and propose improvements for team efficiency
- Prepare and deliver executive-level reviews and leadership communications
