The Senior Software Development Engineer will lead the architecture and delivery of AI-powered products that facilitate enterprise cloud migrations at AWS. This hands-on role involves writing code, mentoring engineers, and ensuring operational excellence within a product engineering team. • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead within an engineering team
• Experience with Machine Learning and Large Language Model fundamentals
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Experience building complex software systems delivered to customers

• Own team-level architecture and design systems that are simple and operationally sound
• Influence design and technical decisions beyond the immediate team
• Lead projects spanning multiple engineers and drive execution from design to production deployment
• Design and build agentic AI components including agent logic and orchestration workflows
• Write production code daily and prioritize building over meetings
• Set engineering standards for code quality, testing practices, and CI/CD pipelines
• Solve complex distributed systems problems with trade-offs between latency, consistency, and cost
• Proactively identify and resolve technical debt and simplify systems
• Mentor and grow engineers through code reviews and design guidance
• Communicate technical designs clearly in writing
• Drive operational excellence through meaningful alarms and dashboards
• Travel approximately 5% to customer sites to understand tool performance
