Job description
This role is focused on building large-scale distributed systems within the AWS Data Integration group, which is known for its innovative cloud services. The team is dedicated to redefining data analytics through the development of a serverless platform for ETL and data replication. Engineers will work in a fast-paced environment that encourages ownership and collaboration. The position offers a unique opportunity to influence both product and backend development while mentoring other engineers.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and code reviews
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
- Technically lead a team of engineers on complex projects.
- Advocate for industry best practices to produce reliable and dependable code.
- Code and test complex system modules and develop effective frameworks.
- Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews to maintain high development standards.
- Own system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate with other teams to deliver large scale, distributed services in the cloud.
- Mentor other engineers and help build a fast-growing team.
