The Staff Android Engineer will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of productivity on mobile for Slack. This position is part of the Productivity Mobile team, which focuses on enhancing mobile experiences for millions of users. The engineer will lead technical initiatives, drive architecture and strategy, and collaborate closely with various teams including Product and Design. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with broad organizational influence to deliver intuitive and reliable mobile experiences.

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant experience building Android applications at scale.
• Deep expertise in Kotlin and modern Android development.
• Strong understanding of Android architecture, application lifecycle, concurrency, networking, and performance optimization.
• Proven track record of leading large, ambiguous technical initiatives with measurable business impact.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working across Engineering, Product, and Design organizations.
