The Bridge Design Engineer will be a key member of the Bellevue Bridge team, focusing on the design of transportation structures such as bridges and transit guideway structures throughout the Northwest. This role offers a hybrid work environment, allowing flexibility while contributing to various transportation projects. The engineer will leverage their technical expertise to complete design activities and support projects through construction. The position emphasizes problem-solving and collaboration with CAD staff and junior engineers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with 8 - 15 years of bridge and structural design experience.
• PE Registration and SE Registration in Washington State.
• Familiarity with structural and bridge analysis and design software.
• Working knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design and WSDOT BDM.

• Provide technical expertise in completing bridge and transportation structure design.
• Complete design activities and prepare plans, specifications, and estimates.
• Support projects through construction phases.
• Direct CAD staff and less experienced engineers.
• Solve design challenges for a variety of structure types, including new design and rehabilitation design.
