As a Device Software Development Engineer on the Amazon Leo for Government team, you will design and develop embedded software for satellite and ground systems. This role focuses on creating fault-tolerant, real-time platforms that ensure secure and reliable communication. You will work closely with hardware, systems, and product teams to deliver high-performance solutions. Requirements
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 2+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for Amazon Leo's satellite and ground terminal systems.
- Leverage modern application frameworks for Embedded Linux and RTOS platforms to develop scalable, modular, and high-performance software.
- Implement and integrate software for data processing, device control, and networking protocols.
- Debug and resolve complex hardware-software integration issues using tools like logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless hardware-software interaction and system reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers, conduct design reviews, and uphold high software quality standards.
