Job description

The Senior Python Developer is responsible for establishing and implementing application systems in coordination with the Mortgage Technology team. This role focuses on using Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and AI technologies to enhance decision-making processes. The developer will work closely with business stakeholders to deliver technological solutions that drive efficiency and innovation. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and collaboration with various teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field
  • Extensive knowledge of Python and container orchestration platforms
  • Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
  • Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver scalable, Python-based applications supporting the mortgage trading business.
  • Partner with the business, risk, product, and cross-functional technology groups to integrate platforms.
  • Monitor and control all phases of the development process including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation.
  • Apply AI and GenAI capabilities to modernize workflows and automate analysis.
  • Resolve high-impact, complex initiatives through analysis of business processes and system flows.
  • Apply engineering standards for coding, testing, CI/CD, debugging, and production readiness.
  • Serve as advisor or coach to new or junior analysts.
