Job description

As a Senior Embedded Software Development Engineer (C/C++) on the Amazon EC2 Instance Networking team, you will lead the development of networking systems that are critical for cloud computing. Your role will involve architecting high-performance packet processing systems and designing advanced analytics platforms to enhance network performance and security. You will also mentor junior engineers and collaborate with hardware teams to optimize software performance. This position offers the opportunity to influence architectural decisions and drive innovations in a global-scale environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
  • Knowledge of system performance, memory management, and parallel computing principles
  • 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of ARM CPUs

Responsibilities
