The Software Development Engineer role at Amazon Analytics focuses on building systems that enhance the experience for Analytics customers globally. Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
- Experience in Hive/Spark/Hbase/Yarn or similar Bigdata architecture
- Knowledge of query processing fundamentals is a nice to have
- Understanding of various storage formats and their impact on query performance is beneficial
Responsibilities
- Build systems that benefit Analytics customers across the world
- Define new features and architecture for the overall product vision
- Convert complex and ambiguous requirements into meaningful projects
- Own and code end-to-end deliverables from design to operations
- Lead engineers on substantial projects and mentor team members
