Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a skilled PCIe Firmware Engineer to join their team, focusing on solving complex technical challenges in PCIe firmware. This role serves as a critical link between various teams, including QA and application engineering, to ensure customer success. The engineer will influence product development by translating customer needs into actionable feedback. The position emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of significant professional experience in embedded firmware development with a deep understanding of PCIe.
  • A strong foundation in computer architecture, operating systems, and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience using scripting languages like Python or Bash to automate tasks.
  • Clarity in explaining complex technical issues to both customers and engineering peers.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, debug, and resolve challenging PCIe firmware issues for important customers.
  • Partner with Chip Design, Software, and Architecture engineers to find root causes and develop solutions.
  • Translate customer needs and field data into actionable feedback for product development.
  • Help improve team processes and contribute to the knowledge base.
