Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Development Engineer to lead the bring-up of state-of-the-art System on Chips (SOCs). This role involves collaboration with external vendors and internal design and production teams to ensure successful silicon programs. The engineer will focus on wafer-level and package-level new product introduction (NPI) and will be the primary technical interface for test strategy and silicon qualification. The position emphasizes innovation and quality in the semiconductor industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting test failures
  • Experience with porting functional workloads to an automated test environment
  • Understanding of software-hardware dependencies
  • Exposure to both Teradyne and Advantest platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead wafer-level and package-level NPI bring-up for silicon programs, including first silicon debug and characterization.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface between ATE and internal partners for test strategy and silicon qualification.
  • Define and drive PDE Silicon characterization plans covering key tests and features.
  • Analyze product yield limiters and drive failures on Automatic Test Equipment at wafer and package level.
  • Characterize different aspects of performance and power to take competitive products to market.
  • Lead multi-functional efforts with design, foundry, quality, test, customers, and suppliers to root-cause problems and implement improvements.
  • Influence next-gen products by collaborating with architecture, software, and test teams.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
