As a Software Engineer at Amazon Robotics, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop cloud and edge software components for robotic systems. Your primary focus will be on creating Linux Kernel device drivers and edge computing solutions that enhance robotic hardware functionality. The role involves collaborating with hardware teams and internal customers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions. You will also engage in code reviews and contribute to discussions on scalability and reliability.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Linux Kernel device drivers for Amazon robotics
- Design and implement edge computing components for robotic operations
- Build and optimize Yocto-based builds for NVIDIA platforms
- Partner with workcell teams and internal customers to integrate software solutions with hardware systems
- Establish and maintain hardware-in-the-loop testing frameworks to validate software performance
