Twitch is seeking a Software Development Engineer (SDE 2) to join its Enterprise Platform & Technology organization. This hands-on role involves architecting, building, and operating software systems that support enterprise functions across Twitch and Amazon. The engineer will lead multi-engineer projects, design solutions using AWS-native services, and deliver AI-powered workflows. The position emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and the establishment of engineering best practices.

• 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of software development experience shipping production systems
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building AI/ML-powered systems deployed to production
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, and Java
• Experience designing and building applications using AWS-native services
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects involving multiple engineers
• Experience designing and building data pipelines, data models, or data lake systems
• Strong written communication skills
• Experience across AI/ML engineering and data engineering practices
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms like Salesforce or ServiceNow
• Experience with security standards and compliance frameworks such as SOC2, SOX, and GDPR
• Experience working in enterprise domains such as Finance, Customer Service, Sales, or Marketing

• Lead projects requiring work from multiple engineers, owning end-to-end design and delivery across the full software lifecycle
• Own team-level architecture for enterprise systems, providing system-wide design guidance
• Build and operate production applications on AWS-native services
• Design and deliver AI-powered workflows that automate business processes
• Define architecture patterns and establish best practices for AI systems in production
• Design and build data pipelines and data models for reliable data flows
• Drive adoption of engineering best practices on the team
• Actively mentor and coach other engineers to help them grow their skills
• Proactively simplify systems and resolve architecture deficiencies
• Communicate technical designs and decisions effectively in writing
