Job description
The role at Arcadis involves assisting Project Managers and Task Managers in environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks. Fieldwork is a key aspect of the position, providing opportunities for training in various environmental tasks. Candidates will need to conduct fieldwork with a strong focus on health and safety while traveling regionally and occasionally within the U.S. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- BA or BS in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology or related field
- Experience with GA EPD environmental regulations and SOPs is preferred
- Current OSHA HAZWOPER 40 HR / 8 HR training is preferred
- Previous industry, consulting, or regulatory internship experience is preferred
- 1 year of experience in the field is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and Task Managers in planning and executing environmental site characterization and remediation tasks.
- Conduct fieldwork including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling in accordance with GAEPD Standard Operating Procedures.
- Oversee drilling for soil sampling and groundwater well installation.
- Perform subcontractor oversight and manage the construction and operation of remediation systems.
- Conduct vapor intrusion and soil gas surveys.
