Job description

Join AWS's Manufacturing Test Engineering team to develop testing solutions for innovative AI acceleration hardware. This role involves owning the entire test lifecycle, ensuring AI hardware systems meet high-quality standards through rigorous testing methodologies. You will collaborate with hardware designers, software engineers, and operations teams throughout the product development cycle. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills and a solid understanding of hardware systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of integration, testing, and automation experience
  • Experience building test automation frameworks and tools
  • Experience in a Linux or Unix environment
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++
  • Experience in hardware design and validation of components, subsystems, and systems
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments
  • Experience with performance and stress testing methods and frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute comprehensive test plans for AI hardware systems from prototype through mass production
  • Design and develop automated test suites and frameworks using Python, C/C++, and shell scripting
  • Own the deployment and maintenance of test solutions in high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Drive system-level testing covering hardware, firmware, and software integration
  • Debug complex issues across hardware/software boundaries and perform failure analysis
  • Collaborate with manufacturing partners to optimize and scale test deployment globally
  • Analyze test results and provide data-driven recommendations for product quality improvements
  • Develop and maintain clear test documentation and procedures for manufacturing teams
