Job description

The Associate Test Engineer role at KLA involves working on the testing of new technologies in a collaborative environment. The position is part of the Global Operations team, which focuses on manufacturing cutting-edge technology. Candidates will engage in moderately complex assignments that require problem-solving skills and technical judgment. This role emphasizes continuous learning and collaboration across various functional teams.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in electrical component level testing, troubleshooting, and repair is required.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment is necessary.
  • Experience with systems development and testing, including formulating system level requirements and test specifications, is essential.
  • A Technical Certificate, AS degree, or equivalent vocational training in a technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years of related experience is required.
  • Prior hands-on experience testing digital and/or analog components and systems is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Determine and develop test specifications, methods, and procedures from blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
  • Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems, and complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing.
  • Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
  • Work on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations.
