This role involves contributing to the Sensitivity and Throughput Roadmap for KLA's BBP and Rapid Divisions. You will collaborate with Research Scientists, Optics Engineers, and Opto-Mechanical Engineers to develop R&D Inspection Benches for validating new inspection methods. The focus is on running inspections on customers' wafers and reticles to ensure the effectiveness of these methods. This position is crucial for driving innovation in semiconductor manufacturing.
Requirements
- Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years.
Responsibilities
- Obtain a thorough understanding of the fundamental physics behind new proposed inspection methods.
- Collaborate with Optics Engineers and Optomech Engineers to derive requirements for the subsystem to be developed.
- Develop layout, design concepts, and detailed designs for R&D Inspection Benches.
- Drive selections of key modules such as light source, optics, sensors/cameras, and stages.
- Perform assembly, alignment, and integration of the benches.
- Conduct subsystem qualification to ensure it meets requirements before running actual inspections.
- Run actual inspections on customers' wafers and reticles to validate proof of concept.
- Communicate results and recommendations to product teams and marketing.
- Conduct proper hand-off from proof of concept to the Engineering/Product Development Teams.
