The Home Hardware team is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to drive the development of innovative Apple home product concepts. This role involves early-stage product exploration at the intersection of hardware, software, and user experience. The engineer will collaborate with a diverse team to create complex systems and rapid prototypes. The focus is on defining electrical architectures and integrating novel technologies to enhance customer experiences.

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of industry experience in hardware design, specifically in rapid prototyping, architecture, or R&D environments.
• Strong electrical engineering fundamentals across digital, analog, mixed-signal, and power delivery design.
• Proven experience in system-level architecture and component selection for embedded systems, consumer electronics, or electromechanical systems.
• Hands-on experience with sensor integration, microcontrollers/SoCs, and standard digital interfaces.
• Proficiency with schematic capture tools and a solid understanding of PCB layout principles.
• Extensive experience in a lab environment, including board bring-up and debugging.
• MS or PhD in electrical engineering or similar field.
• Experience leading teams through the product development cycle from concept to production.

• Define and realize electrical architectures for early-stage product concepts.
• Research and select novel sensors, compute modules, and power electronics.
• Balance performance, power, thermals, acoustic noise, and safety in product designs.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software developers, and industrial designers.
• Create rapid proof-of-concept hardware and evaluate enabling technologies.
