Job description
The Mac NPI PM organization role at Apple focuses on leading the team within WW Operations and serving as the primary operations interface to the core product development team. The NPI PM is responsible for ensuring successful product launches that meet cost, quality, schedule, availability, and customer experience goals. This position requires collaboration with various internal and external teams to manage product ramp availability and drive responsive supply chains. The role also involves clear communication of risks and status to management and building strong relationships across teams.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or product development.
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Experience working with off-shore manufacturers and traveling to manufacturing sites.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present to management.
- Extraordinary ability to build relationships.
- Clear and consistent communication skills.
- Ability to use data to drive decisions and take action.
- Enthusiastic and motivated with a high level of detail.
- Technical expertise and prior OEM management experience.
- Masters or MBA are considered a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead ramp availability for all product modules with Materials, Quality, Engineering, and other teams.
- Ensure security, materials, equipment, fixtures, staffing, training, and documentation plans are in place at partners.
- Drive responsive supply chains that optimize costs, operational flexibility, and quality.
- Assess, analyze, consolidate, and communicate risk and status clearly to management.
- Provide links from the Ops and Engineering Teams to the Factory teams during product introduction.
- Travel internationally up to 20-25% as required.
