Apple's Special Projects team is seeking a DevOps Build and Tools Engineer who is passionate about enhancing the software development lifecycle. The role focuses on developing and maintaining tools to boost engineering productivity and improving the CI build pipeline. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to streamline the development and release processes. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where technology and automation play a key role.

• B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps or Build Engineering
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and Bash
• Familiar with the software development lifecycle and the software release process
• Experience with a continuous integration platform such as Jenkins
• Experience with SCM tools, such as Git
• Familiar with container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficient in one modern web backend stack such as FastAPI, NodeJS, or Go
• Experience with developing/deploying AI agents and creating/leveraging Generative AI developer tooling
• Experience with Xcode and creating applications for iOS, macOS, and other Apple platforms is a plus
