Job description

The Director of Quant Data Platform will lead the dataset onboarding efforts for the Quantitative Research Platform team within Fidelity's Quantitative Research & Investments division. This role involves collaborating with technology partners to integrate financial and alternative datasets, ensuring they meet high standards for quantitative research. The position requires close work with researchers to design data consumption patterns and maintain data quality. The team is focused on providing high-quality datasets essential for quantitative research and portfolio management.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in asset management or hedge funds, focused on data analysis, delivery, and transformation across asset classes.
  • Proven ability to lead engineering teams and coach others while contributing individually.
  • Technical proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • CFA charter holder or progress toward CFA designation is a strong plus.
  • Experience with major financial data vendors such as Bloomberg, S&P, and FactSet.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the dataset onboarding efforts for the Quantitative Research Platform team.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to integrate financial and alternative datasets.
  • Work closely with researchers to design data consumption patterns.
  • Partner with Data Operations to maintain data quality.
  • Accelerate dataset onboarding processes while ensuring sustainability and quality.
