As a Mixed Signal Hardware Design Engineer at Apple, you will be part of the Wireless Hardware group, focusing on innovative system-on-chip designs that enhance wireless connectivity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end hardware design for cutting-edge wireless systems. The role involves working on digital and power portions of wireless designs across all Apple products. Your contributions will help ensure seamless connections for customers with their devices.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Good understanding of protocol specifications for communication interfaces like PCIe, MIPI, I2C, SPI, and UART.
  • Experience with power supply, power management, and power distribution networks.
  • Hands-on debug experience with modern lab equipment such as DSOs, Logic Analyzers, and Protocol Analyzers.
  • MSEE preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering consumer electronic products is preferred.
  • Experience with mobile and/or embedded processors and memory systems.
  • Experience with schematic capture and layout.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and verify digital and power portions of wireless designs.
  • Drive end-to-end hardware design from schematic and layout implementation to bring-up and validation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, and silicon teams.
  • Interact with external chipset vendors to deliver robust mixed signal solutions.
  • Lead projects from definition stage to mass production with minimal supervision.
  • Investigate system level issues and drive problems to closure in a team-based environment.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
