Job description

As a Mixed Signal Hardware Design Engineer in Apple's Wireless Hardware group, you will play a crucial role in designing and verifying digital and power components for wireless systems across all Apple products. This team is dedicated to enhancing wireless connectivity through innovative system-on-chip designs. You will collaborate with various engineering groups and external vendors to deliver high-performance mixed signal solutions. Your work will contribute to groundbreaking wireless technologies that connect customers to their devices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
  • Good understanding of protocol specifications for communication interfaces like PCIe, MIPI, I2C, SPI, and UART.
  • Experience with power supply, power management, and power distribution networks.
  • Hands-on debug experience with modern lab equipment such as DSOs, Logic Analyzers, and Protocol Analyzers.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience in writing basic software routines and test scripts.
  • Strong desire to investigate system-level issues and drive problems to closure in a team-based environment.
  • Experience with mobile and/or embedded processors and memory systems.
  • Experience with circuit schematic capture and layout.
  • Experience interacting with offshore manufacturing partners.
  • Successful track record of delivering highly innovative communication products.
  • Experience with high volume, low power, mobile products.

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end hardware design for cutting-edge wireless systems.
  • Implement schematic and layout designs for digital interfaces and power supplies.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, and silicon teams.
  • Work with external chipset vendors to deliver robust mixed signal solutions.
  • Ensure the performance of wireless designs through verification processes.
  • Support the design, implementation, and verification of wireless systems.
