Job description
The Data Center Mechanical Engineer role at Google focuses on overseeing the design, construction, and commissioning of HVAC and mechanical distribution systems for data centers. This position is part of the Data Center Engineering team, which is dedicated to advancing the physical design of data centers. The engineer will ensure compliance with codes and standards while driving infrastructure improvements. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
- 5 years of experience in design, construction, and commissioning of HVAC and mechanical distribution systems.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to data center services and operations teams.
- Develop, implement, and manage mechanical designs at the site level.
- Collaborate with the Engineer of Record to respond to site-specific engineering Requests for Information.
- Own and manage site-level power system issues during project execution.
