The Structured Finance Analytics team within the Global Banking & Markets division is looking for a motivated professional to support the Credit & Asset Finance business. This role involves working with various residential assets and consumer loans, focusing on securitization transactions. The successful candidate will engage in analytics and client advisory, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure accurate portfolio representation. The position requires a blend of technical skills and financial knowledge to navigate a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or other STEM-related degrees.
- 0 to 3 years of experience in residential loans or fixed income, or an internship in related fields for analyst positions.
- 3+ years of experience for associate positions.
- Experience in collateral analytics and RA runs on RMBS/CMBS deals is strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills, including knowledge of functions such as vlookup, sumproducts, index/matches, and indirects.
- Technical skills in CAS, Excel VBA, and SQL are preferred.
- Knowledge of Python is a significant plus.
Responsibilities
- Act as a client advisor and perform analytics on all principal and third-party securitization transactions.
- Collaborate with clients to create data tapes from various resources.
- Perform data validations and create portfolio level stratification and replines.
- Conduct portfolio collateral analysis and provide pool level CPR speeds, loss severity, and credit enhancement.
- Assist in populating credit memo and PPM materials with outside accountants and lawyers.
- Perform asset pool selection based on contribution requirements for ABS/CMBS securitization.
- Work with rating agencies to create historical performance matrices to project future performance.
- Evaluate daily mark to market on all MSR warehouse lines.
- Provide recommendations on OAS spreads in response to changes in rate environments.
- Manage cross-functional relationships to ensure accurate representation of monthly portfolio activities.
