Job description

As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Jacobs in Philadelphia, PA, you will join a team focused on integrated building services design. Your work will involve power system planning, lighting design, and fire safety systems for various projects, including healthcare and pharmaceutical facilities. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring the design and calculations for electrical systems meet client needs. This hybrid position allows for collaboration while also providing flexibility in work location.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required.
  • Professional Engineer license (PE) is required.
  • 12+ years of Electrical Engineering experience is required.
  • Experience working for a MEP firm focusing on Mission Critical applications is required.
  • Proficient in Revit, 3D CADD, SKM and/or eTap Power Tools, and Bentley BIM is required.
  • Knowledge of NFPA Codes and Standards is required.

Responsibilities

  • Design full low and medium voltage electrical systems and oversee the design of lighting, fire alarm, and signaling systems.
  • Prepare load analysis for each stage of design.
  • Direct a design team in the preparation of detailed project electrical systems drawings.
  • Prepare basis of design report for the project.
  • Select and prepare specifications for electrical equipment.
  • Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and project architects.
