Job description

Intel is seeking a motivated SoC Debug / Post-Silicon PnP Validation Engineer to join their Silicon Architecture team. This role focuses on performing power and performance validation, low-level debug tasks, and complex analysis at the SoC level for Intel products. The engineer will contribute to identifying and resolving critical issues while improving validation methodologies. This position directly impacts Intel's success by enhancing design for debug tools and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or any STEM field with 3+ years of experience, or a Master's degree in the same field with 6+ months of educational or work experience.
  • Experience in SoC debug, validation platforms, or equivalent technical roles.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for automation and data analysis.
  • Understanding of SoC design, architecture, and microarchitecture fundamentals.
  • Experience with debugging tools, defect triaging, and system-level root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive power and performance validation for systems, subsystems, and SoC-level components.
  • Develop and implement innovative design for debug tools, automation scripts, and validation strategies.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis to resolve complex triage failures and performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support SoC debug readiness and issue resolution.
  • Formulate comprehensive debug requirements and validation strategies for new product features.
  • Design, develop, and execute test methodologies to validate new device functionalities and performance characteristics.
  • Utilize advanced scripting and automation techniques to process large datasets for analysis and optimization.
  • Drive continuous improvement by staying current on industry trends and best practices.
