Job description

The Software Development Engineer position on the Amazon Business Payments team focuses on driving initiatives related to innovative payment methods for customers. The team is responsible for developing large-scale, multi-tiered software applications and tools that enhance the end-to-end payment experience. This Agile team collaborates closely with the business to deliver new features quickly while fostering a fun and inventive environment. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

Responsibilities

  • Drive Amazon Business payments initiatives through design, development, delivery, and support of software applications
  • Develop large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications and tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new features to Amazon Business customers
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, code reviews, and source control management
