The Senior Constructability Engineer will be part of the AWS Infrastructure Services team, focusing on the design, planning, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. This role involves collaborating with diverse teams to ensure high standards for safety and security while optimizing capacity and cost for customers. The engineer will leverage their technical knowledge and construction experience to drive standards and improvements in the delivery process. The position requires a thorough understanding of design and construction processes to develop effective solutions.

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience in researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities
• Professional Engineering or Architectural License
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents

• Work closely with the Global Constructability team and the global Construction Management teams to ensure consistency of approach
• Drive practical constructability standards in design documentation
• Drive commissionability improvements in designs
• Drive process improvements in the hand off from design to construction and commissioning
• Optimize the engineering input post design completion by driving consistent roles and responsibilities and accountability
• Act as the initial point of escalation for complex constructability issues
• Engage in 25% regional travel, sometimes unplanned
