Job description

The Battery Technology Engineering Program Management team at Apple is seeking an Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to develop battery solutions for various Apple products. This role involves leading a multi-functional team of engineers and managing complex projects while ensuring high-quality deliverables. The EPM will bridge gaps between engineering teams and suppliers, applying knowledge of battery cell design and manufacturing. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage project risks effectively.

Requirements

  • BS in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 years of industry experience in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry experience in taking technologies from concept definition to mass production, preferably in Battery or Consumer Electronics.
  • Technical project management experience in material development, mechanical design, simulation, or manufacturing process development.
  • Experience in working and managing suppliers across a diverse supply chain.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with AI tools, modeling, and simulation work.
  • Ability to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a multi-functional team of battery, chemical, system, and manufacturing engineers.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate project risks and issues.
  • Facilitate communication across various levels of individual contributors to executive management.
  • Drive day-to-day program activities to meet overall program objectives.
  • Set up project plans and anticipate potential roadblocks.
  • Comprehend, communicate, and manage complex design tradeoffs.
  • Remain flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity while managing rapid development cycles.
